Muriel Makes on Monday

Well not exactly, these were knitted while I was in New Zealand - I haven't been able to do any since returning as I seem to have done something to my right arm, possibly strained the tendons or muscles, anyway it hurts more than usual!

Anyway I picked up some nice wool while away and had plenty of time to sit and knit, so that is what I did in the evenings.

They are all knitted with some beautiful New Zealand Wool and most are available to purchase - some are already in my Etsy Shop.  More photos showing the back are available on request should you be interested in purchasing.

This lovely patterned effect sweater is knitted using rare breeds, Arapawa fleece and is perfect for the boys.  It does up at the back for ease of dressing.  £16.00 plus postage

This sweater I am tempted to keep.  It was knitted with the same wool as the above sweater.

Lovely turquoise sweater, using 100% NZ Merino wool.  I am tempted to keep this one also.

Turquoise cardigan - also in my Etsy shop.    £15.00 plus postage

This is knitted with a lovely soft NZ wool which is a combination of Fine Merino, Brushtail possum and silk.  Available to purchase and also in my Etsy shop. £15.00 plus postage

This one is made using a lovely NZ Merino, Alpaca and Possum mix.

Sunday Summary

Quite a productive week on the knitting and sewing front.

A dress and yellow 'Mary Jane' shoes for Tui

Plus a navy pair of shoes.

A shawl and a hat for Hitty Madge

A new dress

I also finished this one that had been waiting quite some time for snaps to be sewn on.

Madeline of course got her two new swimsuits, which she was wearing in this post here.

A pretty summer dress

A dress with some of my left over variegated NZ wool.

Plus a purple lacy dress.

I also used the above pattern to make Little Miss a dress.

I knitted a little cardigan and hat for Poppy

It matches the dress I made a few weeks ago.

Lastly I made Peggy Sue a summer dress.  It seems ages since I did any sewing so it was good to have a some time on Saturday to do some, which is when I also made the dresses for Hitty Madge and Madeline shown above.

I doubt I will  have any time for sewing this week, but probably will be able to get some knitting done in the evenings.  I have a KAL I am joining in on and hoping to make a start on that tomorrow evening.

Sunday 5 February 2017

More Tiny Knitting plus a little Sewing.

I forgot to post this last week, so now it is an extra long post as a catch up!

I've already shown the things I have made during the week for Madeline on this blog post here:  Madeline's Wardrobe.

I have also made some things for the Heartstrings dolls:

Sweater & Hat for my Heartstring doll Thomas.

A sweater & hat set for the Heartstrings dolls - which is now in my Etsy shop and can be found here

A sweater & hat set for a friend's Heartstring doll.

A burgandy sweater & hat set for Heartstrings doll knitted with pure 100% NZ Merino wool.

These sweaters also fit the Makies dolls as shown on Wren below.

A cardigan and hat for Poppy knitted with one of my favourite colour combinations of NZ wool.

A cardigan and sweater set made with a pure wool crepe yarn.

A warm hat and cape for Hitty Madge.

A cardigan for Wren.

As I forgot to post this, I will add the last weeks knitting and sewing projects to it.

I knitted a few 'Lyra' hats.

Hitty Moana shows off hers, and thinks it brings out the colour of her eyes.

Hitty Madge got a shawl as well with hers.

Madeline likes that hers matches her sweater.

I did a tiny bit of sewing...  three pairs of trousers for Madeline

These are her favourite!

A short sleeve cardigan which will also go with her dress and hat set that I made the other week.

I also made her blue apron she was wearing yesterday.

I offered to test knit a pattern for a lady on a group I belong to.

The first stages...

Modelled by Saige.

This was a very clear and well written pattern.

There is a hat to go with it, which I will start tonight.
